Dear Sir or Madam,
I am about to receive my diploma in business administration degree ("Diplom-Kaufmann") from a university in Germany. After graduation I will join one of the leading strategy consulting firms and intend to go on to business school in the UK or US after 2 years.
I would like to know what kind of transcripts you normally get from German applicants. Since our educational system here is quite different I can't get the kind of transcripts for each course I have taken (hours, date, content), especially not for course before my the prediploma ("Vordiplom").
Is it sufficient to submit certified translated copies of my intermediate diploma ("vordiplom") and diploma ("diplom") stating the general fields and concentrations of my studies and the grades in these areas?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Answer from Said Business School
Yes, translated copies of your vordiplom and diplom giving areas of study and grades will be fine. Please contact me if you have any further queries.

Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to submit certified copies of your intermediate diplomas. No need to translate - we have German nationals on our Faculty and Administration team.
Hope this helps.
Answer from Cambridge
Thank you for your message, above.
To answer your query about your transcript, we are aware of the differences in the education systems, and what you suggest should be fine.
I wish you well in your career, and look forward to receiving your application form in a few years.

Transcripts of your vordiplom and diplom would be acceptable. However, we would need to clarify whether the Diplom-Kaufmann equates to a UK bachelors degree or not. We have checked on our database of equivalent degrees and the Diplom-Kaufmann is not listed.
If the diplom is equivalent to a UK degree, we would require at least three years' post qualification work experience. If it is not equivalent then we would ask for more than this.
I suggest that when you are ready to apply, you contact us again, and hopefully by that time we shall have more information about the Diplom-Kaufmann.

Thanks for your e-mail. Normally the transcripts are divided into semesters with the module and grade passed as well as an official stamp.

Thank you for your interest in the Warwick MBA. The description of your transcript (certified, stating the general fields, concentrations of your studies and your grades for each) should be acceptable for our purposes.
I hope that this answers your question. If you need further information, please visit www.wbs.ac.uk.
