Question

How can I break the wall and get a position in the IT Strategy area? I am currently looking for possible studies, but have not found something like a MBA oriented for students graduated in Computer Sciences. I really appreciate any advice in order to plan the next steps in my professional development.

Hallo,

I studied Systems Engineering and have been working in Germany (no EU citizen) for 3 years. After my graduation in 1998 I have been working as a programmer for web applications (B2C) and currently coordinate a web project.

To be a developer does not fulfill my professional expectations. I would like to focus on the IT-strategy area, my dream is to proposed IT solutions for the improvement of business (enterprise) processes.

The question is: How can I break the wall and get a position in the IT Strategy area? I am currently looking for possible studies, but have not found something like a MBA oriented for students graduated in Computer Sciences. I really appreciate any advice in order to plan the next steps in my professional development.

Thanks a lot,

Answer from Oxford:

Hi

Thank you for your e-mail. The Oxford MBA is a generalist degree covering all management disciplines - it is not specifically for those with a computer science degree. I'm afraid I can't help you, why don't you check out 'MBA in IT' on the web? Good luck

Best wishes
