McCombs: The growth in demand by recruiters for MBAs

A. What do you consider the most significant developments in MBA/management education and the international business school market as a whole this year?

1. The growth in demand by recruiters for MBAs. Recruiters are increasingly seeking out students with MBA degrees.

2. The continued growth in part-time and weekend MBA programs. This is a market that continues to increase steadily nationwide, and our program numbers are no exception.

B. What do you consider to be the most significant developments at your school this year?

1. The full-time MBA program at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin has seen an increase in the number of female students this year. Participation and involvement by some of our leading female alumnae contributed to this rise.

2. The Executive Education Program at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin continues to see increasing numbers of students in this program. In addition, The University of Texas at Austin recently approved the construction of a $120 million Executive Education and Conference Center for use by our executive education program. This commitment is a clear reflection of the success of this program.
