Handelsblatt Management-Forum offers the possibility to ask questions. This time you can ask Stefan Thomke from the Harvard Business School at Harvard University who will answer between 3 and 4pm. The topic is: How can business innovations accelerate overcoming the crisis?
But that should you think than you are an INNOVATOR( creation from labals/Patents) - you open your own firm and later put somebody crime/manipulation in your firm (in this time you don't know who is a criminell partner? but later after a case is happen - you can see it (f;e. HCL INTERNATIONAL Salzburg - an Inkassofirm is written but originell a firm who worked for the BND - so a crime))and you have a insurance contract (the case is written inside in the paragraphes)but the insuran,ce like pay the money for the case and so you loosed all your own villa, your own firm and more!§ Is these INNOVATIV? This demaged the economy and the quality of the life in Germany. Is against the GG! I fight for my money(international court is informed)- you can help!

When it comes to overcoming a crisis, there are many things that can be done (i am sure that you know the list -- it is right out of a consultant playbook). Clearly controlling cost, cashflow, etc. is important. You can read lots of books on crisis management and i have done it myself.
it also takes courage to make decisions that can be unpopular, such as investing in product and process innovation. i know some CEOs who, during the financial crisis, held R&D spending steady or even increased it, while cutting in other areas. Their boards nearly fired them. As business is picking up, they have products that customers want and others are scrambling because projects were put on hold or killed. Now the same managers look brilliant because they managed for the rebound.
At the end of the day, you need to focus on great products and services. No marketing or advertising will save you if your product sucks. Companies that understand this simple truth will continue to do ok, even during a crisis. And we know what it takes to create great products. i hate to bring up Apple again but that's what they did.
